Les should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
Silverstone Camping or rather lack of

As copied from Toca

Hi All,

Sorry for the silence but have been away again since getting back! I spoke to Octagon Motorsport and it seems that camping and the circuit courtesy of the local land owners is an issue that gets much debate.

Octagon Motorsport have been and are supportive of the local landowners and farmers and therefore must encourage those who wish to camp to use their sites and land.

The closest point for camping is, I am informed, Whittlebury Park at £12.50 which I do not think is too bad really.

I am sorry that this time round I cannot help more, but I have asked the question of those dealing with the land owners and camp sites and this is the only information I can offer at this time.

Whittlebury Park can be reached via the Silverstone switch board (01327 857271) who I am reliably informed will give the telephone and fax numbers for the same. The Park is approx 3 miles from the track.

Hope this helps and see you at the weekend.

Cheers for now,

Westie.

Not a lot of help but at least he asked.

Considering the isolated incident of F&M this is unacceptable. Having an agreement with the farmers and the adjacent land is one thing but when the adjacent land is 3 miles away, exceptions should have been made.
