Christopher should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
The other day taking my sister to the school dentist, I was parked outside the school waiting for her to return when in the side mirror I saw a yellow new Porsche 911 Turbo coming towards me. Extremely rare where I live!
I've seen a Ferrari 360 one day about 10mins from home where I was heading.

Today Ive just seen a Clio V6 road car which are pretty rare (are they all silver?)

Last night I found myself in the middle of the local boyracer chillout area. I was behind an Escort RS Turbo which was blowing out flames, he told me it had 220bhp

There are a few nice cars in the small town where I live. One guy in particular owns both a Lamborghini Countach and a Ferrari, but you rarely see them on the streets. Another guy owns one of those tiny cars... maybe somebody can help me out here... that were once manufactured by an airplane company. Pretty cool. And last year in Niagara Falls I pulled up beside a McLaren. In my Dodge Shadow. If I had a paper bag, I'd have been wearing it over my head!

Nothing really special, but working as a delivery driver I've seen:

A Ferrari 360
2 Dodge Viper GTSs
A Plum Crazy 1970 Plymouth Hemi 'cuda
and a late 1920s Packard (I don't know really old cars well)

Oh yeah, I live on a really narrow terraced-house road with loads of cars parked either side. REALLY narrow. With speedhumps.

I once followed a very slow, very cautious and very WIDE Viper targa. Stupidly wide.

I'm guessing Messerschmitt?

Or perhaps Heinkel?

Tim, at least they had the sense to put the third wheel in the back, unlike those daft tippy Brit ones that made such an impression on me when we were over in 76 or 77, and which Rowan Atkinson took such pleasure in beaching as Mr Bean.

Ah, Reliants. Butt of thousands of jokes, poor little things.

It may surprise you that bizarrely, most of them have now ended their lives on cinder/shale oval circuits, where huge grids of them provide the comic relief on demolition derby nights. Poor little things.

This has got to be the ultimate thread hijack - a thread started to discuss sightings of exotic cars, and we're talking about Reliant Robins and bubble cars!

well, in their own special way, cars like these are exotic as well, in the "unique" catagory at least.

Well a couple of Months ago I saw a AU XR Falcon with full 00 Motorsport Livery. I can't belive how great it looked going past. Today I saw a yellow 360 Ferrari. Wider than in the pictures, it reminded my of a Enzo as it was coming towards me.

The most rare machine I have seen belongs to a gentleman in Tulsa. I do not know the year, but I think it was built in the 60s. A dark red Alfa Romeo Zagato. Absolutley beautiful car. I saw it coming out of an import and restoration specialist shop. I would not have known what it was but that very car had been featured in Road & Track's Salon segment a month or two before. I found the mag and sure enough it belonged to a guy from Tulsa. Said to be valued at US$1 million.

An old man in Longview, Texas who owns an import auto parts shop has an old building filled with rare and old race cars. I used to buy parts for my Sprite from him. He won't let anyone in to see them but you can peek through the dirty windows and see an original 289 Cobra, his 750cc Bandini, and several mid-60s Formula Ford-type machines. There's a picture of him crossing the finish line at the Daytona Road Course in the Bandini on his shop wall.

One of my clients owns a stretch bentley limo, I believe there are only a handful in the states. For all it's exoticness it is very very understated. Robert

A few years ago, I saw a Lotus Esprit looking for a parking space at a shopping mall like it was no big deal. Not in Chicago, not in St. Louis, not in Atlanta, but in Rockford, Illinois, the definition of a decaying Rust Belt city.

As for "unique," some goofball in the north Metro Atlanta area owns a Hummer with a customized paint job that tastelessly shows that he is a Georgia Bulldogs football fan.

A few years ago I saw a Jaguar XJ220 on the Leeds inner ring road heading towards the M62, I tried to keep up in little E Reg Vauxhall Astra - but I failed. I have also seen a Ferrari Enzo inf act seen the same car 3 times, twice at Silverstone and once on the French Autoroute while coming back from Le Mans this year. Also seen a Pagani Zonda, again at Silverstone. Also spotted at Silverstone the new Bentley Coninental R.

Ive seen an F40, but the best is a GT40, I am assuming it was a rep, but it looked good and sounded good, had a big Ford V8 in - loud when he overtook me!

I have seen it twice, so he must be from the Worcester area.
