GM10 should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
Another image...

This new TCS class seems like a BTCC without racing parts.

This TCS class seems like a really good idea and it appears there's a lot of interest in it in Italy. It would be good for other countries to adopt these rules to fill the gap that was vacated by Group N/Super Production. I don't think there are many lower-level multi-marque series out there.

Portugal is adopting them as well. And I think the two production categories in DTC (used to be ADAC Procar) are reasonably close as well, though only for 2.0 and 1.6l cars, which is probably a bit more sensible than the five(?) different classes they have in Italy.

This is why I have my doubts about TCS. Why not restrict it to one or two engine sizes?

The biggest problem of the Italian championships is to fill the grids. The more cars are allowed to race, better it is. The balance will try to equalize the cars as much as possible, I hope there won't be controversies.

However, the Italian federation has to be focused mostly on the TCR, because it's the most important class. I don't like the fact that the German championship has already 20 cars on the grid in its first season and the Italian championship doesn't arrive to 15 because we have three series there running the same cars (CIT, SEAT Supercopa and Coppa Italia) without reaching an agreement in order to organize a single championship.

Off-topic but talking about SEAT cup. Next weekend starts the SEAT Leon Eurocup. Anyone found an entry list?

Fantastic starts and races by Buri, why has he been disqualified in race 1?

Files lost his mind this weekend, bad behavior with Schmarl in race 1 and various mistakes during the whole races.

Good job for Proczyk, maybe we have to include him in the battle for the championship.

Next week, first round of the Italian championship.

Entry List Round 1 Campionato Italiano Turismo

TCR looks decent enough if a bit heavy on the Seat-side, but I would've expected a bit more from TCS. Weren't there supposed to be 3 or 4 Civics in TCS2.0? The Polo is also missing.

I think that multiple changes into the 2016 calendar influenced the entry list here.

Initially, the first round was moved from Vallelunga (17 April) to Monza (21 May) in order to give more time to the teams. Then ACI has anticipated it, bringing Adria at the beginning of the season. So I think that many teams were caught off guard. At Misano there will be full grid, I hope.

The TCS Honda looks nice.

Surprised by lack of Honda's.

Double win for Colciago in Adria. Despite his long inactivity, he ran very well showing his experience.

The level of the drivers, as I said few weeks ago, is quite low. The largest part is composed by gentlemen, not so good.

Very interesting the TCS class. Would be better with more cars on the grid, and they will be there during the season.

TCS might be interesting but will it be endorsed by Lotti? If yes then great.

I would put more hope in the FIA... S1600 in ETCC is basically a dead end with no other series in the world running a significant number of those cars, so ETCC will sooner or later need a replacement for those cars (or go all TCR).

Look like Astra will be back in two weeks, at least in TCR Benelux.
