Confirmed by Autosport - Zandvoort will be a points paying weekend, but each team will have to drop scores from "their worst weekend" (not sure if this means you can take the sprint race from 1 & feature from another or if you drop the whole weekend).
Also, Snetterton test will take place Thursday-Friday then hot foot it over for 1st action at Zandvoort Saturday AM "in the hope that more cars will be availible by then" (sounds crazy to me) |

You get the other series' at Zandvoort to watch hehe.
I just hope this works, something has to be right, because so far A1GP is failing big time. |

And now for some good news: http://www.motorsport.com/news/article.asp?ID=309695&FS=
Team France and their car present (as much as possible,) at the Paris Motor Show. Now if team Switserland can be at Geneva and team USA at Detroit, we can actually get somewhere |

Season 2 was a 3 day event - as DTM wasn't there that season, there was a noise day free.

DTM was there, but they had more than the 5 noise days they have now..
Besides, all teams were present at Friday last year . They won't be now. |

Ah right... thought DTM was only from 2007... sorry .
Is it WTCC that started visiting Zandvoort in 2007? |

^ Yes obviously they won't, as there have been delays building the new cars. India definitely won't be there ( http://www.hindustantimes.com/StoryP...+season-opener ) and apparently Mexico won't either.

Surprised India is one of the teams that will miss out this weekend considering how active this team is in marketing and how India seems to be A1GP's #1 target for a new venue in the medium term.

CZE flag has finally gone from a1gp.com.
This article says "Watch LIVE video streaming coverage of qualifying and the feature race on your computer from anywhere in the world" - no more blocking the video stream by location then? |

GBR will not be competing despite starting building their car 2 weeks ago, they haven't managed to finish it. A shame . |

what a flipping joke. Ferrari are going to kill A1GP before it's even got in to season 4....
why not sacrifice some of the "lesser" teams rather than people who have won races? |

But, I agree. GBR could be championship contenders at the end of the season. Even with dropped scores being allowed, it's still potentially a free round for other teams. If GBR would have done well apart from 1 bad round they took part it, and lost the championship as a result, well..... |

I think it all revolves around money, as does everything in Motor Sport. GBR nearly had a complete car last week , but it was taken from them and given to USA. Obviously GBR are not fully independently funded and the promotional value to A1 having Danica Patrick race is better. Also this is not Ferrari's doing, they did a deal with A1 to supply engines for a price which they have done.. Unfortunately due to bad decision making this price emptied the A1GP coffers for all other things.. It should have been introduced for season 5 when A1 may have been in a better finacial situation.

Andretti Green confirmed as running USA. Also, Motorsport Total in Germany reporting that GBR, India, Mexico, Canada and Germany will miss Zandvoort... no-one knows for sure if Germany will compete this season or not. |

I guess their car's colors were matching USA's ones best .. Can't think of anything else. The whole system of assigning cars beyond the first 2 seems to be a complete riddle. At some point it looked asif they were simply going from south to north or something like that.
