WPS franchise issues?
Whats happening with WPS and their franchises, I heard that Tasman Motorsport has re-reserved the second half of their licence and are now only using the imire licence for one car until they purchace a new licence.
Is this all backwards or am I somewhere near the mark? Mark? |

They are supposedly buying a Level 2 (Don't think it is Imrie one) for this year and will have to buy another one for 2005. The current negotiations could be with Bap Romano re franchise.

They still require another one for next year. I hear all Franchises next year will be Level 1 for the top series. Not sure if that makes all Konica ones Level 2's instead of 3's.

LRT/Tasman have a pair of Level One franchises. One is used by Team Tasman, the other is leased to WPS.
At the end of 2004, the leased franchise must be either sold, returned to the Team Tasman fray, or forfeited. At this stage, it's options open at this stage. One would think that Team Tasman and Holden would want a two car, Level One effort! |

Not until 2005...
WPS is negotiating for a 2nd franchise, however I would lay money (although I havent confirmed it anywhere) it wont happen till later in the season, as the team is still looking for staff... |
