Apparently, the live timing is not competely correct. Many of the times were missed compared to theircuit timing. Has anyone heard the same thing

Did Intersport have an accident today?
There was a red flag in the session, and it was the only car that was not being shown as in the pits. If "Yes," does anyone know how badly it was damaged? |

Tim, I think Intersport, if they had a shunt, must of been minor. They completed 40 laps today (quite a lot) and I know the red flag was at the beginning of the session; I had LT&S on my PC at work!

"The Intersport Lola, which also will see Jon Field share driving duties, turned in a time of 1:13.721. The outlook for the weekend, though, turned considerably bleak late in the prototype session. Halliday, going through the Esses, came up on a considerably slower GT2 car and was forced to lock up the brakes on the Lola to avoid a collision. But in missing the GT2 car, she went off track and hit the wall, causing considerable damage. Team members weren't optimistic of having the car ready for any of Thursday's sessions and were hoping to have the car ready for qualifying Friday." No mention of Liz's condition there, but hopefully that means she escaped without injury. |

Creation topped the practise this morning, 1:12.006 vs. Capello at 1:12.076. These times are still relatively slow, I'm not sure if the conditions are not ideal, or the cars just aren't being pushed yet.
Last year, Shimoda ran a 1:10.7, with the PLM record being 1:10.3 in 2000 by the Audi R8 of McNish. Also note that PTG/BMW/Auberlen set the fastest GT2 time in the session, with the top eight seperated by just over six tenths. |

Please correct me if i am wrong BUT I wouldn't call the display so far exactly astounding for pace......as fogulhound pointed out.
Minassian thinks that pole will be a mid to low 1.11 - last year Shimoda put a 1.10.7 down and could have gone faster (his next lap was 3 tenths up until he came accross traffic......also remember that they missed a lot of practice and had a shunt before qualifying - the car was capable of a 1.09.xx according to TC). So why have the cars got slower........and why oh why did Zytek take their lumbering beast 06s instead of the nimble 04s WHICH IS STILL LEAGAL and would make mincemeat of everything else there........better still, why have Creation hybrided Jotas 04s for these races when it is clearly faster in 04s spec round the twisty turning tracks?????!!!!!!! Well that was an intelligent post. Track conditions can change. Lots of variables. The 06S wasn't anywhere near the R10's league at Le Mans. It's a shame it's raining, as that means they'll lose all of the rubber that they've laid down. Not to mention, I doubt anyone is trying to lay down a qualifying lap at this time.
BTW, poor Shimoda couldn't even break the R8's lap record. Pathetic really... |

It was a torrential downpour and thunderstorm earlier, was soaked.
According to local weather forecasts (based in Atlanta) it will be dry for the weekend but the temperature will drop by possibly about ten degrees fahrenheit - not sure what that is in celcius, sorry, all F here! |
