Rumour has it that Briggs have let Canto go and are looking out for a driver to replace him, ritter, Maclean and White are the obvious choices but then he is known to like the overseas drivers and there are a few with around that he has spoken to.

Maybe the door has opened for Alex to get supercar seat for the rest of the season Where are you Mr Cadell, this is proably the right spot for your guy

It was confirmed last night, not an amicable split by any means.... it seems the team owner rolled over on the driver...

Be good to see if McLean can capture the form from his two Bathurst fourth's.
He has kept his finger in the pie from what i can understand, being a sort of mentor to Thekco as well as testing the vehicle himself to show it's not all the car.......

According to this week's Auto Action Ritter will be back driving for 00 Motorsport for Darwin and maybe until the franchise sale to the Kelly's goes through to avoid being fined for a no show.

The franchise transfer was signed off this week as far as I am aware.... for the sale of the 00 L1 and the purchase of the PWR L2

Motorsport news says purchase.... I thought lease myself...

I now understand that the people at TEGA have put a spanner in the works of franchise transfers, that the documentation was prepared & due to be signed, and I presumed if they had gone to that effort that signatures were a fait accompli, but the TEGA boys seem not to be convinced of the arguments the red boys have put forward.

So it seems Mr Forbes needs to find a panelbeater enroute to Darwin to fix Ritter's car so it can be run!

I doubt Ritter would go there- I'd expecthim to be in the 4th Prodrive/FPR car for next year after winning Bathurst this year with the team co'driving for Seton.

There was a ten year contract with Canto, I remember it vivadly.
One can only guess there must have been an exit clause somewhere or Johnny boy paid out the rest of the contract for Dean to leave, that being unlikely however, mabey Johnny boy has just side linned him for the time being but has to still be on the payroll because of the contract, if this is the case no-one else can hire him unless they buy him out the contract. The exit clause seems the most likely.

Still I reckon Tony's got enough speed to get back in the car...

I was led to believe that the 2 names previously mentioned are unable to get releases from their Symbol contracts for the enduros, so are both stuck despite the sponsor favouring a certain 2 time Bathurst winner....

I somehow doubt that Holden will help either driver escape their obligations to drive a Ford...
