Maybe it's an idea for one of the next programmes to show a car without body and give some technical info? Like the Ford Fusion during the NASCAR coverage.

Judging by your car last month, Kelvin, that would have been the ideal candidate......

My car and a half is not for sale, since I'm sitting on the fence watching the developments, waiting for some longer proper purpose built longer ovals to appear on the calendar.

There are lots of tracks planned, but I don't want to get everyones hopes up until I see some men with shovels digging us some tracks. For now, we have to do the best with what we have.

I reckon we should build a big banked speedway in Surrey, on the site of A V Roe's old aircraft works.........
Or how about one on the roof of the FIAT factory in Turin? Maybe another one in Italy - perhaps at one of the great parks near Rome, like Monza..... |

How about using the Mallory Mile? May not be banked, but would be interesting.

IMHO the Mallory Mile is not safe for V8 powered Stockcars of this type.
There are two issues, one is the "bump" in the north turn (where the link goes between the esses and the exit of the elbow, or the other way around if you run anti-clockwise) which will see cars pitched off into the barrier, and thus spoil the whole thing. Remember that these cars will run anti-clockwise. Even running clockwise, the bump is dangerous at high speed. The other is the pit entry/exit. If someone needs to pit in race conditions, the entry is too tight and short to be safe. The exit is far from ideal too. |

Tonight is the last showing of the first day of the Series on Motors TV at 21.15. Episode 2 will be first screened on the 16th and will hopefully show us what happened between Gonnissen and Steward to cause the big wreck going into turn three!

My boat remains firmly in dry dock. It just doesn't do it for me. When longer tracks come online, I'll have a look.
We need a Bristol!! (and maybe a couple of Dover's) |

Dan is due at Ipswich and Hednesford and one other round, I think. He should be around here somewhere actually. Miguel hasn't spoken to me for a while now, I beleive the 46 is still available for sale or hire.
Anyway Rob, you may as well come to Warneton now, because your not going to race on the longer tracks when they come, until you have raced there! |
