Chevron B38 Chassis 77/02

I am trying to find info on a Chevron B38 Chassis no 77/02 which is at the moment in Germany (thinking of buying it). I wish to know of any websites or links to find out history of it, races and drivers and who bought it in 1977 when it left factory.

So far the seller has told me that Derek Bennett owned it,had 2 wins in Hockenheim in 04, 2nd in CFFC FF1600 2004 and German Open Champion 2003 and 2004. It won the Graf Berge von Trips Trophe in 2 Classes 2004. the car started racing in 1978.

Please help as wanted to go see it this weekend in germany.

Steve, nothing on there re B38s. In our chassis no anoraking, I don't think we've got down as far as F3s yet, other than mentioning in passing. Interesting that this car is described as not having raced until 78 though, ie a year after the B38s came out. Given that its described as ex- Bennett himself, could it be a 'works development' car of some sort, or maybe one DB built up himself for the late-70s equivalent of track days ??

That would be because they are at the Historic Motorsport Show in Stoneleigh this weekend, so you might have to wait for a reply unless you can get along to Stoneleigh!
