Nice drive, and you got past that Jaguar D, rep.
Have you got a V8 lurking underneath?

There is also a lap at Spa 2008 with a Lotus-Cortina, 4½ minute.
Also great.
I´ll be looking it all the way to next year.

I think you'll find its an FiA GT with the wrong diff !
I had the wrong diff on my first trip to Spa, wouldn't pull over 5500 in top!

Oh no, it was the video that lasted 4½ min., not his lap. He was quick.
It was the start + Eau Rouge twice.
Last name: Lawson !! Ring a bell, anyone?

Zef: Might have been my GT, if it had not been for the steering wheel, it was in the wrong side. Then will you Brits learn to have on the right (left) side??

Thanks! Slow laps in traffic make better watching than the quick ones without traffic.

Thats the one! Stop and go adds a bit to the lap if the marshalls were on top of things!

I believe the Lawson car was lapping around 3.25-3.30.

A statement that back's some thing I've alway's belived in! Closer racing is much more entertaining than spread out grid's.

That's why we enjoy racing cars of this period. You can be a few secs off the pace and still have great racing unlike in some of the modern stuff we've done.

PS: Roger- once brother got the hang of the car we were lapping in the 3.15-17's- best of the weekend was a 14.9.

Really enjoyed your lap at Spa Gordon, Glad i am not the only one who has a lift at Blanchemont. As i said before roll on 2008. We are hoping the HSCC are going to let our Historic FF2000 have a run.

Good to put a face to the name last Friday. I hope you get your FF2000 into some HSCC races - not my decision so any attempt at bribery is wasted!

Yes, I saw. Actually after I'd posted I looked through the results. Amazingly my Cortina did over 9 hours on track over the weekend. Best times were: Top Hat Quals 3.14.575, HSCC Quals 3.14.562, U2TC quals 3.26.114 (Peter Lanfranchi), HSCC 3.10.929 (my quickest of the weekend), U2TC race 1 3.12.156, 6 Hours (well 5 really) 3.14.726 (we had agreed on a pace of 3.20 when I was hit by a German Mustang down the straight - the driver looked asleep - the adrenaline made me put in a quick one!!), Top Hat 3.15.124, U2TC race 2 3.29.644.

The valve clearances had closed up so much in the Top Hat race that it wouldn't pull past 5,000. When Phil, the guy who builds my engines, showed me the "IN" sign, I knew not to disobey and retired.
