Using a caravan
Lots of changes for me this year. New boyfriend who is keen to flag and a caravan. My first outing with the caravan is at brands at the end off March.
Where do I park up. Please help. |

Only taken the caravan to Brands once, for ChampCar in about 2004, so can't offer anything up to date.
It's the right decision, though. Nothing like peeking out of the window of a heated caravan on a cold wet night and seeing the tents all around... |

What Mike says, campsite depends on the grade of meeting. See also http://www.marshalsguide.com/index.php/Brands_Hatch
Since end of March is either Trucks or BTCC await your BARC final instructions, but is likely to be the larger one detailed on the Google map. Black X, Walton on Thames, never been to Brands? Shame on you! |

Thanks
Been marshalling at Pembrey for the last 15 years, have been to Brands a few times during that time. No longer going to Pembrey so it's Brands, Thruxton and Combe for me now

There is no electric hook up provided but a couple of marshals do make a connection with multiple power leads. You can use a generator but don't keep it on too late at night. There are plenty of water taps and sometimes they do lay on a tank for chemical waste. The disabled toilet in the block by the Kentagon is always left open for camper's use and if you're lucky the whole block may be open. For some big meetings (eg Touring Cars) they open up the "Officials Campsite" which is approached by turning left just before the main entrance and going round behind the hotel. Happy Caravanning! |
