For a number of years now the ITV camera positions at the Campbell - Cobb - Segrave complex have been quite poor. One camera covers three corners and its a section of track where incidents and overtaking often happen. Sacrifice another camera elsewhere if its a matter of cameramen, because that area needs more coverage, and previous years had at least two cameras covering it.

How long until Morgan throws it off the road?

This might be a little extreme but its time Neal sat out a race or 3, he just drives through people to get past.

He only drove through Cook in R3 whilst making several mega overtakes. People weren't saying that about Morgan after Donington, and Plato, despite crossing the line a lot, is still a good racer...

Dunno, Neil drove through Jordan at Donington, tried it race 2 today, (karma got him though) and now on Cook, he is making Plato look like a saint at the moment.

And that replay that cut in just as they were going 3-wide in race 3...
...yeah I wasn't too happy with the production element, or the cameraman out at Village, who kept on following single cars when there was plenty of side by side action which always ended up out of shot... ...I normally complain about other people complaining! I need some sort of therapy... |

Well done to Adam Morgan for proving the naysayers wrong that said he can't lead a race, with that dominant display. Only 16 points off the lead, he is a potential champion of the future no question.
Worries me to see Neal back to his old bad ways, feel sorry for Prilaulx, like Menu last year he is struggling to get a clean weekend. Also Depper seems to have improved quite a bit of last year, just on the fringes of the top ten. Eurotech haven't slidden down as much as I thought. And well done Donnolly for a competent first weekend. DOTD: the german girl in the Ginettas, very impressed by her |

a future Sabine Schmitz ?
com to think of it how come BTCC never had a proper british woman racer , the last one was Fiona Leggate with a less than stellar peformance I remember she drove that old Astra Coupe and was at the back of grid then for some weekend at Silverstone they put Paul O'Neal in that car and he was near the front |

Priaulx isn't quite like Menu. He's showing more pace and the incidents aren't largely his own making.
Sophia Flörsch and Sandy Mitchell came to the fore in the support series' where they otherwise hadn't. Both genuinely show massive potential too. The TOCA package really is something! The BTCC had Christabel Carlisle way back... |

Seriously impressed with Sophia & Sandy, the support races were great, MSA Formula much better than last year. Will be surprised is Shedden isn't a double champ by the end of this year. |

Thruxton Rounds 7,8,9
Don't forget Annie Templeton! And Fiona Leggate finished 5th in 2005 at Silverstone! Admittedly they're were only like 5 cars that year!
Some more good action today! Good to see a bunch of different winners! Ginetta juniors were thrilling |

And there was Paula Cook in the independent Honda Accord back in the late 90s...

Has everyone (apart from Jonathon Palmer) forgotten Nettan Lingren?

She didn't have the car, but she did a much better job than a certain Mr B&Q in that car

Anyway, it'll be interesting to see if Jordan gets on top of his setup issues by Oulton, it seems Goff is his equal, if not better at the moment. |

Yes it seems Jordan is struggling with a new car for him, but he's still ahead in the points at this stage, so it's not all bad for him

Just got done watching race 3 (downside of being so far away)... my random thoughts are
Adam Morgan is really doing well. Andy Jordan's struggles are surprising to me I wonder if Andy Priaulx wonders who keeps throwing pianos out of helicopters at him? Jason Plato's drive in race 2 was as inch perfect as you could ever ask for ...and what has happened to Tom Ingram, who has quietly seemed to lose 40 horsepower? And if Simon Belcher shows up next year he deserves the brass attachments award the way Thruxton has treated him the past two years! Steve |
