van diemen works rf80 pictures needed please!
Hi guys, Want to change my RF80 paint job for next season to be like a period works car (duckhams) so need as many pictures as possible to get it as accurite as i can as i currently only have a few images.
Any help would be grealy appreciated!! Cheers, Martyn |

The exact scheme i had in mind was on an rf80 driven by tommy byrne to 2nd place at the 1980 formula ford festival if that helps!!

thanks for the reply, i have seen them yes some great pictures on there i enjoy looking through it, i think there was one that was usefull however most shots of the car i have are from the front and i could do with some side shots and of the back section just so the stripe and the writing are positioned correctly.

I would call Simon at URS on 01953 789223. I seem to recall they had a collection of back issues of AutoSport at one time - or even if I am wrong they might have some photos from that era - you never know... |

media warehouse has a picture of a ff2000 that appears to be in the old duckhams diagonal stripe which i think is the layout that your talking about.

Love the idea that the grid of these classic cars will have some period decals adorning them. Will make for some great pictures and is sure to attract people to watch, follow and even join in. Great idea well done and keep it up, really looking forward to watching some more close racing next year. Any news on the dates for 2012 ?

After trauling through a load of old autosports i am fairly confident i have enough info to get the car looking almost exactly as a works rf80 would in period so fingers crossed i can get it done in time for next season, hopefully it will impress a few of the other drivers and they will consider it also, after all one of the main reasons people would consider running a classic formula ford is due to nostalgia!
