Barry Pomfret should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
750 Motor Club Marshals

As it is nearly the end of the 750 clubs season and as a competitor in one of the clubs championships I would like to publicly thank all the dedicated marshals who have turned out this season. As a driver I know your support is essential and without you we would not be able to indulge in our hobby, your vital role is very much appreciated.Thanks.

Barry,

Thank you for your message, it is nice to know that we Marshals are appreciated. However, not wishing to take anything away from your thanks, we couldn't do it without you guys either.

It is a pleasure to marshal a 750 Club meeting, drivers have time to talk to us in the paddock, you have excellent races and good grids, your officials are good to us and treat us with respect.

Long may the club and you guys keep going, 'cos I'll be there.

Tony

Thanks Barry, this is my first season of marshling and the 3 750MC meetings I have done have been some of my favourites. I was at Snetterton yesterday and thought all the racing was great, particulary the Formula Vee's. I hope to be able to do more next season, everyone is always so friendly and I get a chocolate biccie and a drink!!

Rick,I have been racing for many seasons, always in Formula Fords of some description, the last two seasons I have raced a Zetec in class D of the 750 Formula Four championship. You can see a few of my cars in the gallery section at www.barrypomfret.co.uk
I have finished for this season although I am probably driving a friends Caterham at the Heart Foundation day at Snetterton in November.

Its always a pleasure to marshal for 750MC. We are appreciated by the club, officials, drivers , not necessarily in that order.
I do not think I am alone in preferring a packed 750 meeting to the GP ( and probably a TOCA meeting).

Barry, Thanks for your kind thoughts I am sure that I have seen you race many times over the years, a small thank you goes a long way. On Sunday I was the Observer at the Esses on the outside at the end on the straight, it is now Tuesday and I still cannot get the smile of my face for watching nearly 40 Vee's hurtling down the straight at over 40 mph, nine breast before getting almost back in line for the corner, excellent fun, great race, well done everyone, I did not see a thing wrong!!! Look forward with anticipation to doing more 750MC meetings next year - Balders

Hi Barry,
Thanks for your thanks and thank uou to all the 750 MC from marshals to senior officials drivers, rescue unit( who I rate as one of the best in the UK) and all of 750 staff.
You are an excellent club to marshal for and the grids and meetings are an example of how it should be done.
I will be doing more days than I did this season for 750 and cant wait.
Regards,
Rich S...

There is a good chance that I will be there, I think the venue is Eastcote this time and I understand the beer is very good. I will contact John in a couple of days.

It's nice to see soo much friendly comment about 750MC. I have just got back from Silverstone - the Birkett 6 hour relay - which is our finale. I have been overwhelmed this year by the support we have had and would like to thank you all ( marshals, drivers, rescue and even clerks) for making it a really successful year. See you all in 2003.

And we'd like to thank you Peter for helping to make the 750MC the friendliest club to marshal for ... I know it sounds like I'm crawling but it's true
