can not make it next year but if you tell me which airport you fly from I can give you some ideas of decent airlines to fly. I strongly recomend Malaysia, Singapore or Cathy Pacific as you can not go wrong with those 3.

I used Thai to fly to/from Oz, wasn't impressed - on the way out they were very tight with the drinks & on the way back I had to change seats twice as the TV screens didn't work (it's a long journey to be without entertainment!).

Qantas is also one of the world`s most expensive airline. I went to Oz GP in 2001 and went by Gulf Air, think I paid in the region of £600 for a return, good service. Qantas sponsor the GP and offer a officials discount but it still proved to be a lot more than what I paid for. Albert Park is well served by a tram service from the main city centre railway station and it does run for the time marshals have to be there. PM me for more details Andy P and I will give you the full low down.
