V8 Supercar driver hobbies??
Hoffys slot car thread got me thinking.
Anyone share hobbies with any of the V8 Supercar drivers? I am into r/c aeroplanes. I know that the Kellys have a few R/C models. Also, Mark Webber used to fly model planes.. Ayrton Senna was also into them. In fact back in the early 90's, the current World Champion R/C Precision Aerobatics pilot of the time even said that Senna was so good, he was also capable of reaching the top of the sport. I know many of the drivers enjoy motocross.. |

Lets see - these are the ones I know of:
- The Dude likes to spend dad's money (and eats a bit of it from the look). - Junior obviously shares his love of all things culinary - The Walkinshoddys like simple games from the old days - British Bulldog, - Humpo-Bumpo and Pass the Parcel. - Dean Canto does impersonations of The Rock - Kim Jones is in a Debating Club (evidently it's massive) - Bargs and Max evidently ride a bit of trackwork at Doomben - Mark Skaife does a bit of part-time tracking for the drug squad at the Airports. - Rusty practices precision driving with a whole heap of Skaife cutouts. Word is he has'nt made it past one yet. - Natalie had to throw all the kids Lego's out because Craig hates blocks. - Walkinshoddy dabbles in a bit of finance but it seems his new company Skaise Inc. is not doing too well - Brad Jones is a gymnastics lover ... so far only perfected the roll. - Larry Perkins is a Law enthusiast because he failed politics. - Tony Cochrane loves Switzerland - Jason Bright is always on the lookout for a nice slow car. hey, all in fun |

According to the 1988 edition of "The Pits":, Tony Longhurst enjoyed making crystal glasses in his spare time...
Maybe that's why he enjoyed a "Root"....? ...Root Beer was a sponsor of that year IIRC.... |
