I am glad for Dan Lloyd. After leaving MG in the BTCC, he's now got to show his talent on an international level. Hope it all goes well for him

Hope to see Hugo back in a car touring car one day, perhaps a bit crash prone at times but definitely deserved more than he achieved. But very pleased for Dan Lloyd, much better than sitting in that geriatric MG.

CCTV footage of the crash. Massive head on collision. Glad he's okay.
They're looking for a car and I'd guess they'd use an old Seat as there are hundreds of them.

JAS send spare car to Salzburgring.

Also Daniel Lloyd said that there are no big difference between TCR and BTCC car, except BTCC cars are stiffer

Is anyone else from here going to be at Salzburg and up for a little forum meetup? Should be plenty of time for one on Sunday between the two races.

Yeah, Salzburg is a tire killer and car eater like few other tracks... some drivers are rather critical of it as well. I say it's just properly old school and I hope they'll be back next year - maybe with a few more support series.

IMO it's unfair to the track. It's a great old-style track.
Maybe teams should take less risk with car setup?

IMO the comment of Oriola is disrespectful. Maybe they drive with different engine mapping during practice to save engine? It's practice not a official session like qualifying or race.

Ficza Ferenc will race this weekend with his new KIA. An other hungarian driver, Bernula István also will race with a KIA as wild card driver.

Did you know about these two KIA are same spec or not?

They are same spec. Both are TCR cars.

Also Audi and Alfa are well off pace.
They should introduce BOP based on fast/slow track like in Blancpain GT.
Also I think they should base BOP on ECU (decrease hp) and ride height instead of kg. They should keep kg for 3 most successful drivers.

Qualifying was a bit of a mess:

16 people had laps cancelled.
Dan Lloyd was 2nd but had his 2 laps removed in Q2 for going off twice on his first lap despite his second lap being clean. https://www.touringcartimes.com/2017...the-front-row/
That put him 12th and maybe 11th as Jens Reno Moller probably won't race due to damage from Q2.
Now Homola's been excluded from 4th for something technical but they won't say what specifically till the morning.
That (probably) puts Dan Lloyd and Giacomo Altoè on the front row in race 2 unless Moller can start then he's on pole.

This is the latest BoP posted by TCR Italy:

http://www.acisport.it/public/2017/p...one_3_0906.pdf

They do change ride height and power as well (not sure how, if by ECU or otherwise). I agree they should limit the differences in weight and add it only for short notice changes and success ballast.

I really don't get the Lloyd scenario and have never heard that being a rule anywhere before.
