Let's not go that far!

I like Fado, myself. But I like the Tango better.

P.S. As long as we are off topic, I had a first look at Max Wilson today - WOOOOOHOOOO! But how did such a fine looking Latin fellow get a white bread anglo name like Max Wilson?

Wilson is a Brazilian - remember Emerson's brother? I have to tell you this one - very topical in memory of Sir Donald Bradman. Many years ago, I was introduced to the Minister of Transport in Sri Lanka, Bradman Weerasinghe. I was curious how he came to choose the name, and he told me that when he was born, his father was at the cricket watching the great Sir Donald, so he was named Bradman.

I am afraid that your fiery temperament would be wasted on an old codger like me. It would be far better for you to use it as a controlled flame with a handsome young Portuguese/Spanish comanchero.

Maybe that is the real reason for all the moaning about all the Brazilians in Champ Cars ... jealousy!

As we get more multinational, I suppose it will become less and less possible to determine one's ethnicity from one's name. Interesting thought.

Are you nuts?? You would prefer a Pomme to a fiery Spaniard? I think you better go and speak to your Aunt and get some very good advice about this.

I'll never make it

I am new here, as you can see by my humble rookie status, and I don't think I'll ever make it to 1000 posts What was all this talk about a Ferrari draw at the beginning of this topic??? Was that just a cruel joke? If not I'll happily quit going to university and start posting like a madman
Anything for a shot at a Ferrari!!!

It's simple - when ypu have posted 1000 posts, you qualify for hte lucky draw for he ferrari. AND when everbody here has posted 1000 posts, we will have the draw.

I don't really want a Ferrari! I'd be quite happy qith my small car that is still in portugal and I'm trying to get my dad to sell.

When we all hit 1000 posts then...

No, forget it, VB you can keep the 10/10's Ferarri by the time it is up for grabs you would have stuffed it anyway.

I'll forego the Ferarri of the future for the MV Augusta of today.

By the way welcome TeddyG, to the lonely hearts thread, I've felt like a vouyer reading the dialogue between VB and Carla. And the lady is interested in a Pom????

Carla,

Valve is without doubt a true gentleman. He was the first person to welcome me when I joined and still does the best job of laying out the red carpet for new members.

There must be something in the portuguese ladies, one of my friends keeps a long term long range relationship with a woman in Portugal, he lives in Sydney.

Now about British males....

Don't be so sure. 1000 posts seemed like an almost impossible milestone to me when I first joined here as well, but now, a little over a year later, I'm less than 200 posts away from it. The thing with this forum is that it grows on you, and your posts adds up faster and faster (I think I went through the 7hundreds in a fortnight).

Don't worry about the number of posts, though, it's not a competition. It's not how much you say that counts, but what you say when you say it.

My posts just got over 100, and that is in about 1 year. At this rate I'll be a great grand father before I get to 1000.

I think my speed is suitable for a snail. Sorry, if I don't let you start the draw. I'll do my utmost to reform myself.

The only excuse for my bad behavior is my poor English. Year ago it took me an hour to post something.

What's Up?

Dear Friendly Russian,

Your English is fine. Mine is terrible as I'm an Australian.

As for my Russian - it's nonexistant. Stay aboard.
