2015: 12th in GP2 Series
2016: 7th in GP2 Series
2017: 11th in FIA F2

Could be worse, I guess.

Bit of an unexpected choice. He seems decent if unspectacular from what I’ve seen. Would rather see rowland than king but ah well. His father was ceo of a supermarket chain here, so I imagine that’s something to do with it.

Never heard of this guy (or his uncle Hans for that matter). Where are these drivers coming from, and why?

We'll see him in Toronto I guess. FWIW. I am happy to see some new teams (Juncos, Carlin) jumping in to the fray (yes yes, I know Carlin has two recycled drivers ).

King has been a midfield GP2 / F2 driver the last few years. Binder was a GP2 backmarker for several years, he then moved to Formula V8 and was a title contender this year, though that says more about the series than it does about him.

Very much, do you remember TESCO horse meat scandal? Investigate.... very, very interesting from Jordan's PoV. Also, as far as I remember the company his father works for now didn't sponsor his son but... Alex Lynn.

Last two appointments, King and Binder, marks a poor state of teams accounts IMO. What else can I say... doubt they both would crack it in Lights. Poor

To be fair, I wouldn’t say that King is vastly different in terms of ability to Max Chilton, who hasn’t disgraced himself

Max had a season of Lights under his belt. He knew road circuits already when he turned up in ICS. Furthermore, he started his ICS career as full time driver at Chip Ganassi Racing. it's a different story to what King is going through, IMO.

I'm quite worried about the future of Santiago Urrutia. I wouldn't want him to be stuck for a third year in Indy Lights, while drivers like Binder and ZCD get seats.

Something is wrong Naburu. I don't see him on entry list to Daytona, his name doesn't pop up on any virtual list for Pirelli WC... Indy Lights again? What's a point?! That one million bucks, if he wins it won't go far. Few ICS races, and you back to square one.

Yes Binder especially. King at least had the occasional decent showing but then the next round would be no where. But Nato was the same. Pretty much equal talent between those two. Nato was obliterated by Magnussen in 3.5 though.

Neither King or Binder give much to help the reputation of Indycars. Just looking over the new guys this year, there's not a lot to get excited about is there?

We're almost at a point where Formula E's field is as talented as Indycars. Certainly the back half of the field anyway, if you exclude the Penske drivers, Dixon, RHR, Bourdais.

Formula E's rookies are Lynn, Jani, Lotterer, Blomqvist. That's some driving talent right there, you'd put them on any sports car team and expect them to win. Indycar... Wickens, Harvey, Kaiser, Binder, King, Veach, Leist. With the exception of Wickens you'd expect them to not finish.
