Castle Combe Single Seater Day (any advice?)

Following on from my last post (http://tentenths.com/forum/showthread.php?t=96990) me and a friend are doing the Single Seater Advanced day at Castle Combe in November.

Any advice from the experts?

What to bring (that you wouldn't normally think of), how the day will run, any 'gotchas' with the car or track that could knobble the novice, etc etc...

Thanks in advance!

You'll arrive at Quarry a lot faster than you think

Yeah, it looks bad enough as a spectator

Started "practicing" on rFactor with the Formula Ford in there - yeah, it's probably a load of rubbish but surely it's better than nothing at all.... at least I'll turn the right way

And once the bug has well and truly bitten, get a pre 82 formula ford. There are afew about on racecars direct / classicformulaford.com

Good close racing in a friendly club atmosphere - Since I started a few years ago I have had a great deal of help from this lot. - a lot seem to have been racing in their cars since they were new - so they have a lot of knowledge and don't seem so keen to punt you off.

Might be a good idea to tell your wife/girlfriennd (or both of them) that you will be skint for the rest of your life and that their hoilidays are now going to be in race paddocks. You will also get to know your bank manager very well once you have the 'bug'!

Enjoy it - its great!!!

Why not visit the Classic FFord 1600 stand at the London Motorsport Show in December and find out more...??
