GP2 Silverstone Weekend

And big news in the form of Olly Rowland in the series! Sadly it's only an MP Motorsport seat so maybe a cheeky reverse grid win is on the cards but I doubt he'll be near Vandoorne.

Perhaps Alex Lynn can use his experience to actually not shred his tyres in race 1 and ruin his weekend. But I can't see past Vandoorne getting a feature win and another podium in R2 (maybe even a win given the circuit).

It is indeed a fantastic opportunity for Olly - if he performs well it puts him in the shop window for a potential full-time seat next year and with the FR3.5 Series round at Silverstone only nine weeks away it's not bad preparation for that event either.

BTW, Rowland is one of FOUR driver changes/additions for this round! Here are the others:

* Marco Sorensen has left Carlin to focus on his GT activities; Johnny Cecotto replaces him
* Jon Lancaster has joined Hilmer alongside Nick Yelloly
* Sergio Canamasas has replaced Zoel Amberg at Lazarus

Sirotkin on pole. He's been good of late. Vandoorne on the front row with him, with Stanaway 3rd!

That was a couple of top races!

Sunday's effort was one of the best races for a long time.

And to ice the cake it was mostly British providing the action. Great stuff.

Indeed, very good.

The 'Brits' put on a great show overall.
