Ensign N180/N180B pics
Hi all,
I am doing a project for my Motorsport Engineering course on ground effect formula one cars. I am trying to do this in quite a depth, and have already covered most of the popular teams - williams, mclaren, arrows, tyrell, renault, lotus etc. I am really struggling to find pictures of the Ensign N180 from 1980 and the n180b from 1981. Could anyone help out with some pictures of it unclothed if possible to help me understand the basics of the car. Many thanks, Jeremy |

Try TGP website. David Abbott drives an N180. You might be able to contact him through the website.

I have several and will post after the holidays. That was a great looking car when it debuted in Long Beach, and it produced a miserable history.
Also a question...where are you completing this Motorsport Engineering course? Just curious. |

Cheers Davhut.
Am doing a HND in Motorsport Engineering at Brooklands College in Surrey (next door to the historic racetrack). In my final year and am really enjoying it. Am hoping to get a job in historic racing once i am finished as i am really interested in the history of racing especially those of the ground effect period hence researching and trying to understand the designs of these cars and am stuck on the Ensign n180 and how they made the b revision better!! |

There is a bunch of information to be gathered with all these guys and their largely 70-80s DFV powered cars. If you need an intro, I'll help. After Jan 3, I'll forward some information. PM me with direct email if you wish. D |
