TARGA CARS-Road racing circuits.

Baskerville,Tas.,13 August several races for TARGA CARS A&B and 1&2.Has this been done or talked about for a support race to mainland circuits ? I'm sure not all the Targa cars live in Tassie.

There is no specific class for Targa Cars in the CAMS Manual and no special races for them on the mainland, as the few who wish to compete in circuit races, more or less comply to an existing class.

Many do not comply-- it has been used by states out of Cams immediate notice to facillitate a way to get them on grid.Essentially a way to get more numbers. It is another Cams failing not to recognize reality and to have a way of promoters legitimately being able to allow willing cars to race.

Targa Races at Winton

BFC
This is my first post
I have read the site for over 12 months and decided to join in
Up front for all to know I work for Winton Raceway and have done for nearly 5 years and am proud of what we are able to achieve here

Winton has been looking to run classes for Targa Registered cars for a while now, and plan to do so in the near future.
Anyone interested can contact me here at the office at Winton Raceway and register their interest
At our Victorian Motor Racing Championship, We traditionally give each group of competitors 5 races for the weekend to the value of approx 40 laps. Entry costs are $210, more details on our web site www.wintonraceway.com.au
I believe that what we are planning will be in a similar vein, but will be guided by and work with the competitors to give you what you want

I will be interested to see the response
We also have planned a Regularity for December 2&3 for clubmans but will field almost all commers if you are interested
thanks
karl
