volvolean should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
why would anyone care what anyone else is doing?

with staffs of 50 people or more, arent there enough geniuses in the group to work it out for themselves?

copying is just so japanese

how about just doing your own thing and not worrying about anyone else?

Most development in that category has been about copying. It's always been the same where their is a few who do real development and the many who wait for it to appear so they can copy it with varying degrees of success or failure.

Domo arigato. It’s called research and development. Every new idea is in actuality a development of existing principles or ideas and the geniuses have to start somewhere.

Don't get jealous of the Japanese just because they usually have good research & development structures within their companies.
