I remember hearing that the Channell 9 Camaro was raced by another driver in 1984. Was it still owned by Bartlett? Doesn 't Bowden own that one now?
David Bowden now owns the Channel 9 Camaro and Kevin Bartlett helped to restore it!

Probably abit of everything. The Dickson cars were only occasionally raced, plus the Camaro didn't really suit the rules, the exceptional talents of Bartlett no doubt helped it flourish. Alan Jones might have done something with one of the Ron Dickson/BBQ's Galore Camaro's in 1982, but he only made a single appearance in the car at the opening AMSCAR round before the deal faltered.

Ron Dickson ran a pair of them from 1979 until 1982 (over time having the likes of Dick Barbour, Sam Posey, Alan Jones, Graham Moore & Peter Fitzgerald driving his cars). In 1983 Mike Burgman bought one, crashing it (and according to AMC, it was written off) at the Oran Park ATCC round, so he bought the other Dickson car for the enduro's (where Tony Longhurst joined him). In late 1984 Bryan Thomson (or his backer) acquired it for the enduro's (debuted at the final ATCC round at Adelaide)

Whatever became of the Camaro that was being prepared by Pat Purcell at Bob Jane Racing for Bob Jane/Phil Ward to drive in the 1979 Hardie-Ferodo 1000?? RCN stated just before the event that the car was withdrawn due to running out of preparation time, however the car was seemingly never heard of again.

Didnt Bob Jane bring both the cars in?

Burgmann's love affair with Camaros was very brief, with less than 12 months left of Group C he'd ditched 'em for a RX-7.

Followed the lead of the people he bought the Camaro's off. Ron Dickson & Bob Stevens were Mazda men in 1983. The RX7 turned into a very popular privateer car under Group C rules.

Didn't Keogh later on buy the Moffat falcon? So where did this one come from?

John English bought the ex Moffat car from Moffat and at the same time (I think) the ex Keogh truck and trailer to transport it. The Keogh car was a different XD and I think ran in a two car team with Rusty French.

Don't know about Keogh's XD other than Ross Mathiesen scratched it from Bathurst in 1982. It wasn't an ex-Moffat car... Keogh did once have an ex-works Hardtop though - it was the ex-works spare which Ian Geoghegan had used at the Sandown enduro in 1973. It was passed to Fred Gibson in early 1974 when the Lot 6 skunkworks was disbanded (Gibbo's old hardtop of course went to Moffat to replace the one that got scrapped post-Phillip Island). Gibbo ran it a little bit (IIRC Moffat did run it at Amaroo once after a breakage in his car). and Keogh ultimately totalled it at Lakeside.

My records show that is was Tim Slades car in 2008. Maybe is in Yatala in the Stone Brothers workshop. Maybe they also have the 'Janson' chassis there as well.

Steve Voight bought the car either late last year or early this year. Looks like he is selling it already.

ex Moffat RX7

Paul Stubber has an ex Moffat car at Phillip Island historics, only RX7 appearing.

V8 fix from 34 x F5000s, 34? Make up for Stubber leaving the A9Xs & the Camaro home.

How many cars does Steve have tucked away? He used to have that fearsome Chev Monza sports sedan, the ex Bailey Nissan 300 ZX sports sedan (which has now been sold) and an ex DJR AU. With the ex Perkins #042 and the ex Winfield VR, that's quite a collection!
