running Chevrolet and Ford 6 litre V8s on bio-ethanol?

It has been done before; sprint cars run on methanol and ethanol is not that much different.

The fuel system must be purpose designed for alcohol, due to the lacking thermal properties of alcoho.
Get ahold of anyone running a sprint car and they can give you specifics of alcohol vs. gasoline differences.

PS-When Parnelli Jones was racing off-road, he ran out of gas once in the Baja 1000; he bought tequila from a local, poured it into the fuel tank and made it to the next refueling stop.
