I just hope Bathursts not a bore feast this year. Crowds been down a little the past few years despite what the TV tells you.

But it's ok Maxi SCs are still the BIGGGGEST and BESSSTEST everything in the whole wide wide world.

Get out of bed just before midnight on Sundays and you can watch the big show live.

Ugy are you serious? You are deluded and dreaming if you think 3 Cars will be the next best thing. ST put 16 cars on the Grid at their first meeting.. Now that's an achievement and that's the betterest...

I thought number 5 had been ordered just the other week. Please don't forget that from day 1 there was always going to be only a partial grid of the new card this season. So going on about lack of a fill grid is pretty pointless.

Which part is crap? MRX mentioned number 5 just the other week. And right from the start the first season was intended to be a mixed class. Are you saying both those facts are wrong?

No, 5. And I don't see how any of that makes me a liar.
That's 5 built or being built I think. Maybe the other 4 are not fully paid for or something, no idea myself.

Given the uncertainty surrounding the class and the plethora of bad press surrounding things you would have thought any new cars being purchased would be well publicised... MRX announced the order and weeks later nothing official of who or what it is.... Strikes me as a little odd?

of as much concern is the fact that the first IRC event at manfeild this weekend has been reduced to 1x day with very poor entries.......this is not MNZ/MPL/TMC or whoever induced and is a worry for the general season a head...

It'll probably get blamed on Shaun Summerfield for not reporting it

the date class with Bathurst wouldn't help with crowd numbers. that was unavoidable though. shame about the low competitor numbers.

Surely if the V8SC round at Puke gets moved to Nov 2013 thats more than enough time for V8ST to muscle the right to the be the support series off NZV8 and have their finale next season as the support to the SCs.

Do you reckon the STs will still be running by then? I think most of them will be racing around Waikeraka Park.

Can you elaborate on your last statement please. I would like to know where you get this from? Very left field

yeah, my thoughts exactly.

Just ignore what ugy has to say, he/she/it clearly wants to see the ST's fall over, which just won't happen

I do however have some concerns of a 'gentlemans' agreement between NZ and Aus that declares that the support category for NZ based V8 racing cars always have to be based on older models, and not packed with the same technology, and therefore slower, and more boring. Happy to be corrected if i am wrong here, but i have been privy to some evidence that suggests this is true. Which therefore means that the aussies are more than happy to race here in NZ, so long as any NZ based class does not outshine the supercars. The ST's will never outshine the SC's as the whole concept and development of the ST's is not in line (and therefore not trying to copy) what the SC people do, but one has to assume that having the ST's at the same event as the aussie COTF would not be favourable, which sucks really, as the supporting act should be NZ's top V8 motor racing category which is not the NZV8's

Like i say though happy to be corrected on this, no problems.

The STs have a loooong way to go to mend fences with the Supercars before they can support them.
