I really thought that Maini would get a drive at Fortec.

Van Amersfoort has a really good line-up...

JD, you are correct. Pietro Fittipaldi signs for Fortec.

Martin Rao? That could be either Matt Rao or Martin Cao, neither of whom are particularly exciting talents...

With all these cars, and all these kids, the folks at Dallara better start making spares now!

The street circuits will almost certainly see a lot of carbon fibre flying around, since they don't have generous runoff everywhere like the FIA grade 1 tracks ;-)

On a more positive note, looks like a good field... will make for an intriguing title battle.

29 drivers confirmed already!

We only have to wait and see what will happen with T-Sport, ART-Line & Ma-Con.... If they all have 2 cars, 35 cars we have.... But the maximum was 32?

Great championship with a lot of talent again this year!

A spec series at last. It's going to be really interesting for those who don't care about technical side of racing. Good for drivers, but depressing for constructors. Almost the same way as LMP2. Really frustrated to realise it's a monopoly.

Not a spec series per se, but I know what you mean.

At least it's not run from the US. We'd punish Dallara for being so good.

So no entry for ArtLine and the P315 car?
Nice article about it in the current racecar engineering

Why don't Honda & Toyota have F3 engines entered?

Good question. Both Honda and Toyota have engines in the All-Japan F3 series, and these engines met the new FIA requirements before the FIA series did.

Probably a cost issue. I believe both engines are manufactured in Japan, maybe the costs outweigh the benefits of importing. The NBE lump is based off a Honda engine, I believe.

The NBE engine is a bespoke engine designed and manufactured by Neil Brown. It has nothing to do with Honda or any other manufacturer. It is as good if not better than other F3 engines they just need a good driver in the car. Podium at Macau proves that.
