nicker less should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
Look at this!

Do any of you wonder that the championship would have looked like, if only the top 10 scored from every race.
Well bored to death on mt final day of half term, I looked at all the results and worked it out.

Top 10 overall score points

1. Jason Plato 273
2. Yvan Muller 251
3. James Thompson 238
4. Phil Bennett 131
5. Roger Moen 100
6. Simon Harrison 94
7. James Kaye 84
8. Dan Eaves 73
9. Simon Graves 68
10. Gareth Howell 57
11. Steve Soper 56
12. Gavin Pyper 49
13. Mat Jackson 43
14. Tommy Erdos 38
15. Tim Harvey 23
16. Anthony Reid 20
17. Gordon Sheddon 16
18. Kurt Luby 16
19. Paul O'Neill 15
20. Rob Collard 15
21. Andy Priaulx 12
22. Tom Boardman 12
23. Matt Neal 11
24. Jim Edward jnr 11
25. Peter Cate 11
26. Warren Hughes 9
27. Mark Blair 8
28. Tom Ferrier 8
29. Toni Ruokonen 6
30. Dave Allan 6
31. Dave Pinkney 5
32. Nick Beaumont 5
33. Rick Kraemer 4
34. Aaron Slight 4
35. Richard Meins 3
36. Colin Blair 3
37. Steve Sutcliffe 2
38. Mark Lemmer 1

That would have been the championship, if only the top 10 would have scored.

I often wonder how the championship would have finished if older points systems were used. for example the 24 points for a win and so on... what year was they changed it? i can't remember!!

Touringcarnut- I agree. I remember from my 1992 review video that when Tim Harvey wins a race Murray Walker says "He gets those 12 points for victory!". What was the deal with the points?
