diz should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
Where is the TT race report for the cars Ian?
How many eventually materialised?
If no time to do a report, what about just the results?

Go on then Diz...

Caterhams - 15 turned out. Same top six in both events:
1 Nick Frost; 2 Chris Chisnall; 3 Mac Apostolides; 4 Thomas Lyon; 5 John Barry; 6 Andrew Adshead.

Excellent battles between Frost and Chisnall in both races, Frost superb through Gerard's, Chisnall good on the brakes into the Esses. As you probably know Diz, Chris will be joining NW FF1600 for 2004 and will be one to look out for.

Monos - 12 starters.

Race 1 - 1 Peter Daly (FVL); 2 Jeremy Smith (Van Diemen RF82); 3 Jodie Hemming (Jedi); 4 Mark Harrison (Reynard 883); 5 Tim Cameron (Jedi); 6 Adrian Wright (GEM). CW Neil Hunt (Mondiale).

With the grid drawn by ballot Daly started from the back, but made up nine places to be second by Gerard's. Good scrap with Smith for six or so laps before Daly came out on top. Jodie had a quiet race; Harrison gradually moved up the order on the slippery track.

Race 2 was stopped after Doug McLay's suspension collapsed on his FVL, ended up in the Esses barrier but he was OK. Re-run over four laps, Cameron got a good start but Daly pulled away. Wright and Harrison nicked second and third from Cameron on the last lap; Hemming was fifth and Neil H 6th.

I have no idea whether these are any use or what at the moment.
As I'm using my home pc that is far from state of the art and has a monitor without the correct drivers the picture quality I am seeing is a tad dodgy

It's taking about 10 minutes just to load a RAW files and save as a jpeg so there may not be too many forthcoming till I get back to work on Jan 5..maybe a drip drip drip

Thanks Ian. Chiz has already done a few NW FF1600 races this year, alongside his Caterham racing. I believe he is concentrating on FF1600 in 2004.

That's what he told me as well, so the story stacks up He will indeed be focusing on FF1600 next season and I made it absolutely clear to him that this was the correct decision.

The pics don't look too bad - the first one of Nick Frost is especially good, just a shame there wasn't more of Chisnall in the frame. Would have been just about perfect!

Will Mr Daly be entering any Mono races in 2004, in addition to his FF1600 commitments? It would be good to see his FVL challenging the influx of newer ex F3 Dallaras.

I also hope that Doug McClay's car is not too badly damaged.

I didn't have a close look but I don't think the damage to Doug's car looks too serious. As for Peter, he might do the odd one-off race (as he did this year at Donington and Spa).
