I'll be there Saturday...got to shoot a load of Mini pictures during the live action show for some mags (plus all the other stuff). Last year I took a whole film of just "Totty!"...not a car in sight...the missus was going to ban me this year strangely!!

'totty' is a term used very loosely at car shows... similar to superbike meetings really

Well Just got home - My verdict Yawn...... The best bit was the Farboud car launch and that was a damp squib even if they did have the best totty at the show.

Notable absentees - ASCAR, Rockingham and I couldn't find an Octagon stand either... Is the a sign of the time to come...

Oh and the Piper Cross Totty was topless!!!

yes,I was searching for the same things. I have been going to these shows since the first racing car show in 1960,and since 1965 I have had the MCD/BHL/Octagon fixture booklet by the time I had returned from the show.Did see a girl with a clipboard, wearing a T-shirt with a CART logo and 'Brands Hatch May 5th' Thought the CART brand name had been scrapped?

got a good tip go to the orange stand best totty at the show (or should that be wearing the least??)
Although I do think the show seems to be getting smaller and there are a few stands that really are a waste of space. But saying that had a good time.
The Live bit was better than I thought it would be and have to say the F1 stocks were great, smashing into one another and the wall (think some will be luck to be working tmrw).

thought everything was smaller - smaller stands, less cars, less drivers and less worn by some girls!!

Yeah it wasn't all bad the show i thourght and if nothing else it was nice see some of the forumers again.

To be honest i thourght that most of the women dolled up to flog stuff were a bit like "mutten dressed as lamb".

On the whole the show was good in my opinion.

I really enjoyed the show. It had the right mix of road racing anf oval racing.

LIVE Action Arena was brilliant as ever.

I was dragged along today after much protestation. Not a single person in our group enjoyed their trip and I don't think any of us will be returning again.

We went on Friday,to beat the crush, and that was the problem the atmosphere was lacking the buzz a large crowd gives. Having said that the live action was excellent. F1 Stocks were awesome, the 3 rally champions were totally competative, the Kids in/on Karts were great entertainment. The legends have a spine tingling sound all of their own and the racing was close as ever. my one big supprise was Russ Swift and crew in Peugeots, what happened to the mini's.Farboud Stand immpressive car Good looking women -- and Phil Bennett.

phil bennett was spotted in the porsche hospitality thingy on saturday - a hint of things to come?

i also wasn't impressed, but still went for 2 days because it beat sitting at home. it was too busy though - judging by the amount of spare space allocated to the catering area i reckon they could have afforded to make the walkways a bit bigger.

farboud's car is gorgeous. what a beautiful bit of kit.

the girls were embarassing. i felt so sorry for the ones walking around in thongs with no minders or anything. it's supposed to be a family event..

Wasn't busy today at all. Totally dead in fact. And Bennett was there again - talking to the bloke with the Clio... so maybe he's gonna go race that full time next year too

WHAT A LOad of ****!! that is what i have to say. not a good start to 2003 hope its not a sign of things to come!! hardly any manufacturers there, hardly any stands at all infact if it wasnt for the trade sellers the place could of been fitted into my local village hall!! hardly any people either dont think ive ever been on so many racing games before. Autosport are gonna have to do something special next year to get me there. i just hope that this isnt going to refect the theme for 2003. with octagon mash-up and the btcc well not exactly cramming with confirmed entry's it doesnt look good. But hey should be grateful we have a show but kinda think it was a tad pointless

it makes money, and lots of people seemed to have a nice day out.

As I have already said in the Marshals Forum, I didn't think the show was as good as last years effort.
