Thruxton BTCC 2004
Hi,
I was just wondering, the BTCC has always for as long as I've been following kicked off on the bank holiday Easter Monday. On next years calendar it states that raceday (11th) will be the Easter Sunday not Monday, is this correct? Just wondering so I can book hotels and time off work etc |

As far as I recall from previous Easter meets at Thruxton, they are not allowed to run racing engines on Easter Sunday (which is a pain cos it's qual Sat and race Mon so it makes it a 3 day weekend) and on all other Sundays there has to be a church break with no engine noise...

I understand that all BTCC rounds will take place on a Sunday next year, I think it is mainly for TV reason's, but I might wrong.

Cheers, that's what I had in my mind too!All the calendars I've seen state the same date so I'll go with that!Strange to start at Thruxton if they can't run on the Easter Monday, would surely be better attended

As a Thruxton marshal, I can say the BARC availability sheet definitely shows the meeting as the 10th and 11th April, and therefore it's pretty much given those will be the days it's run on.
