UAtkins should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
Mystery Trophy/Promotional Item?

When I was visiting Mum I was intrigued to find a large crystal vase the inscription on it said:

BP

Coupe Energol

Reims 1958
Challenge

R. Benoiste, J.P. Wimille, R. Sommer

anyone have any idea what this is? I assume the BP and Coupe Energol are to do with former British Petroleum so it must be some sort of promotional item? I have no idea where Dad (C.T. "Tommy" Atkins) would have got this from and why, neither did Mum.

Most likely a trophy for the F2 race. BP Energol sponsored it around that time.
