Complete incompetence from PRA. Unsafe release in the first place was poor judgement from someone (driver? crew?), but to then try to work on an entire right hand front corner in the lane... what are they thinking?! When the steering wheel was initially right hand down ~35 degrees, it could possibly have been a steering arm, but on Frosty's second lap around it was clear there was significant damage (effectively positive camber) and the garage should have been prepped.

I'm a big fan of having entire sub-assemblies ready to bolt in, but a calliper was mentioned by the commentary team, which would necessitate a system bleed as well. Not a quick job, even with a speed bleeder.

Now some driver incompetence from car 6 as well!

Good for the championship though, shame Lowndes isn't at the front.

To close the field up near the end of the race to make it exciting.

If Reynolds 'pussy wagon' comments were worth $25k, whats sending out a car straight into another car and then ricocheting into another crew worth? It was dumb, negligent and dangerous.

Why do i get the feeling PRA will lose this title from here, John Hewson style?

There was a nasty looking piece of metallic debris on the racing line.

If anyone tries saying it is harmless, I ask what is most likely to have put the hole in Brights radiator.

Long-reach magnets on poles (if ferrous) or strong jets of compressed air at each marshall's post?

Did anyone notice the very dodgy pass by Courtney on Rick Kelly on or about lap 70? Courtney passed Rick at the next corner after partially short cutting the beach side chicane?

There is a certain desperation in Whincup's driving, witness practice and top ten shootout errors. Very unlike his championship winning years

So PRA given a points penalty as well as a drive through?

This isn't a team preference comment, this is a general 'why two penalties' comment. Had frosty not have had damage, a drive through would be over a 50 point penalty for the driver and team.

Sure the was also a safety issue with the 888 guys, but that's consequential and it's not as if he drove into them purposely to gain position. It's pit lane, things happen.

bring on the haters.....

Its a tough one, I think it was a really serious incident and deserves a stiff penalty, BUT do you penalise for the consequences or the infraction.

I am just not sure where I sit to be totally honest, I can see both sides.

Interesting Pither didn't try to get it back to the pits. Holed radiator or oil cooler leading to the fire?

I think that they said that something was broken in the rear end which would have made it tough to turn the car around in the confined area he was in.

Soooo did the broadcasters just keep showing the mirror onthe track as an invite to deploy an entertainment car?

What is the strategic advantage of pulling in car 222 now 6 laps from the end rather than waiting to see if there is a safety car in the very last few laps that would allow them to get home without refuelling?

They were in the pussy wagon and apparently couldn't get any pace out of it. According to Ingall it is FPR's first COTF chassis, and Waters said it is a dog compared to the chassis Chaz folded

Word from within the team suggested that the supply of the latest generation uprights, etc, was very low after Bathurst. The newer gear is said to be responsible for a good portion of their recent pace.
