They don't need it.

They have their own updates that will help them on American tracks, including the 5.0L Judd motor. The Michelins will help too.

Good times on this car. I had hoped it would do well.

The Dallara has a clear advantage over all the other teams except for Joest and Champion. No one else (in LMP) has had two winters and a full season to learn their car. Maybe one or two of the Pilbeam type teams, but no one else in real contention. (freak occurance not accounted for in this statement)

In fairness, Doran hasn't run the Dallara in ALMS trim much. The rear diffuser, single hoop, and shallow end plates make a difference to getting the aero balance working well. Testing has helped a bit though, so it's good to see them running quickly.

The Mathews R&S seems to be running pretty quickly too. The Lister has also shown good speed, especially in realtion to the little time it has had on the track. Sebring should be an excellent race.

The car, airbox aside, doesn't look any different than the Chrysler 2001 spec machine, engine aside, naturally.

I feel better now that the Dallara, which was a car really designed with these rules in mind, is back in ALMS/ACO competition. It looked somewhat out of place battling ancient cars like the MKIII or AGT cars.

C g, I really don't like to look at the improvements (ACO rules upgrade) as a handicap.

Don't think CG was insinuating that the ALMS configured Doran Dallara would be a handicap to them, just that their knowledge base is small for that specification.

The provisionnal 6th overall practive time for the moment is a nice performance, but I hope more from this car ; I was very impressed last year during PQ at LM, when, in the afternoon, they've 'smoked' the Audis, takin' the best lap time for a while...

Dallaras-Judd are really great... what a shame the Lista can't come at LM...
