I'd have to go a long way to beat either a Mercedes CLK-GTR, or else a Schnitzer-liveried McLaren F1 langheck.

Ferrari 512S. Not a 917 beater, but one heck of a great car, with an engine note to stir the soul. I like the Spyder's targa type roof even if I would give up some chassis rigidity. I could work on my tan when I went to store to pick up more chips and beer!
