Brian Croot
Brian Croot was a well-known driver in national racing in the 1950s/60s and had the ex-Tommy Sopwith Sphinx as well as a C-Type. He hauled these round the country in a Commer Superpoise which he had converted from an ice-cream wholesaler's vehicle. I was in contact with his son Max some time ago about this truck, and Max has now advised me that he is in a position to dispose of the transporter.
I know that the truck has aluminium panels, so could be restorable, but not much more about it - it would make a superb "paddock-piece" at the Revival or similar. If anyone is interested maybe they could PM me, and I will pass their contact details on to Max. |

I am pleased to say the the Commer transporter has gone to a VERY good home, and I'm positive that it will be restored to a very high standard. |
