graeme should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
Autosolo calendar

Done a couple of Autosolos (sort of a fast autotest or, alternatively, a tight sprint) and starting to get the hang of it - anyone know of any more (northern/midlands) ones coming up?

It seems to be a winter activity up here. Had aquick look at ANWCC calendar:

http://www.anwcc.org/

& afraid to say you missed one yeaterday & next seems to be:

Sep 09 - Autotest & Autosolo ( Clubman ) Autotest & Autosolo ( Shell, Rhosgoch ) Caernarvonshire & Anglesey MC - Lee Matthews

Still, the calendar does change regularly, so keep an eye on it & maybe another will turn up sooner.

Farnborough MC (I think that's somewhere down south...) have one on 4th March (regs at http://www.farnboroughdmc.org.uk/March2007Soloregs.pdf), then 29th April and 1st July.

Bristol MC have one on 25th Feb - http://www.bristolmc.org.uk/EventRegs/soloregs.htm

But both too far for me.

Owen MC have one in May near Stafford, which I'm trying to get a date for and will do if I'm free.

Further ahead, Bolton have one beginning of 1st July which I can't make, and Loughborogh CC seem to have evening Autosolos at Donington on the first Tuesday of the month starting May (that sounds good - I'll get in touch with them) as well as some weekend ones.

Plans a foot!

Liverpool Motor Club are looking into the possibilty of running an Autosolo this year. As soon as we have agreed things I will post details on this thread.

I will also post any other dates I find out about, especially in the North West.

Yes down south, and very good ones.
Once you get onto the Farnborough site click on event locations on the left of the page and that will tell you where it is.
Is the norm for a burger van and porta loo on site.

Two of the last three Autosolos in the North West have been at Motorway Service Stations so there are plenty of loos to rush to after consuming what passes for food!

Seriously though with decent facilities and somewhere to shelter from the elements these sort of venues are ideal!

I am talking down South where the sun shines all the time.
FDMC ones are MoD land so no permernent facilities, but at least with a porta potty if gives you something to go on!

This is almost walking distance for me, So I've emailed them to ask if they want any help on the official side. Further incentive if you needed it to go, you might meet me

Well Paul, for somebody like you, Meeting a paddock Fuhrer of my standing is more of an honor than just an incentive.
