JorritVD should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
What is actually happened with Seat Sport Italia, Maurizio Ceresoli and Luca Rangoni?

Worth remembering Thommo's Valencia double-winning weekend last season - wonder what the odds are at the bookies for a repeat?

I agree with the second statement - close racing, even though the SEATs have been the major points scorers so far... and Valencia should be good for them too.

Maybe time for a poll: Will Rob Huff survive the first corner in Valencia this (or any) year?

Bet he's not looking forward to it... but I am... sunshine, back in the paddock and the finest Paella restaurant in la toute Espana...

oh, and I have a big surprise... wonder who'll be the first to guess the new WTCC analyst's identity???

Martin, you should mention TT on TV sometime, lol. :P My guess? Highly unlikely, but maybe Charlie Cox?

He's probably British and has a touring car background, as well as some charisma and technical knowledge. Cleland then perhaps?

I bet it is Tim Harvey, what do we win if we get it right? A tour of British Eurosport HQ?

Didn't check the odds, but not unless Honda manages to figure out how to make the tires last a bit better. In the opening STCC weekend the Honda was clearly the fastest car, up to the point that they had chewed up their tires (which only took about 5 laps...). If they do manage to get the tirewear under control without lowering performance too much, a Tommo 1-1 is probably possible.

It should be the random prediction in the competition here
In any case, I hope it will be somebody good. He has pretty big shoes to fill.

I think they would have to gag Cleland too much, a dream though it would be to have him behind the mic, I think he would just speak his mind too much and be another "James Hunt"...

Probably Kelvin Burt, he has done commentry before.

That's true but the FIA press release about new penalty weights showed this: A 30 kg ballast will automatically be allocated to each driver entered on a race-byrace
basis on the occasion of his first appearance in the championship.

Which suggests that Thommo SHOULD have a 30ky penalty, as it is his first appearance...

trying to find somewhere whether everyone had +30 in Brazil or not... if so, Thommo will do, as will the two Golden Bears Hondas...

and the Ladas (which have not yet appeared in official paperwork or on the website)

finally checked on the website and the table of success ballast shows everyone at zero for Brazil - hence zero for Thommo and Golden Motors Hondas...

although, I seem to think that the 30kg new-boy ballast was to hinder 'unguided missile' points-scorers from interfering with Championships in the final few races, where teams can be tempted to bring in 'ringers' to help their boy win the crown... wonder why it's been taken away??

I highlighted the part in blue that should be the difference Bramzel mentions. If you paied full season, you are not a "race-by-race" participant, thus no 30kg on first entry.

Apart from its already been announced that he is running with SUNRED in a petrol car and it was a petrol car he tested recently - the same car as Coronel.

Hmm, fiawtcc.com indeed refers to a petrol car: http://www.fiawtcc.com/fiawtcc/sport_sto1548467.shtml

Motorsport-Total refers to a Diesel though, but in this case I think the WTCC site is a bit more reliable.
