Mondeo Man33 should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
I hope the bit about WSR is true, not heard that one before. As a fan I'd love to see Fords back in the main class of the BTCC, even non-factory entries. Somehow seems right to have the Blue Oval back as a part of the championship after all these years.

Wasnt there a small story in Autosport about Menu looking for a drive at VX Racing?

Yep, Menu & Radisich have been linked with the Triple Eight drive - but it's more likely both will be in the V8 Supercar series next year driving for Ford Performance Racing.

I'd expect it's more Triple Eight looking at getting Menu than the other way around.

Mine was silly season - with a little touch of the 'possible'.

If it was a wish list, I'd have half the ETCC & DTM manufacturers - loads more cars and top drivers from all over from now and yesteryear in a ridiculously impossible series that would see the BTCC become the grandest motorsport in the world!

With cars like BMW, Audi, Mercedes, Vauxhall, Renault, Peugeot, Honda, Toyota, Ford, Volvo...

With drivers like all the Mullers, Priaulx, Paffett, Albers, Schneider, Kristensen, Salo, Alesi, Franchitti, Reuter, Schumacher, Thompson, Tarquini, Larini, Giovanardi, Radisich, Ambrose, Brack, Montoya, Plato, Cleland, Menu...

A wish list *beyond* silly! (Alan Gow, tis your duty to deliver! - though 1997-9 we were pretty damn close)

Some speculation based on something:

Techspeed boss said in the Brands programme that ideally he'd like Bentwood and O'Neill for 2005, continuing their link with Vauxhall.

Team Dynamics are looking to run ETC-spec Accords according to MN, and Eaves has indicated that he wants to stay with the team.

Arena are looking for official Honda backing (again), aiming to run Chilton and another in 2005, probably Morrison, who says that he only really wants to drive for Arena.

SEAT will run 3 cars as long as the manufacturer points scoring situation stays the same.

On the Eaves thing, If Vlr come back next year i would guess Eaves will drive for them because Vic Lee is his manager and i can see halfords going back as well because they use Vic Lee for there advisor for all Motorsport Sponsorship and the had strong relationship over past 3 years.

FWIW I think Halfords will stay with Dynamics, they are a good fit, plus Dynamics wheels are stocked in Halfords stores which makes cross promotion easy.

If VLR does come back, who with and with what cars?

Dynamics are already advanced in their thinking/plans for 2005. Sponsors will always choose a known quantity and something that is happening, as opposed to something that might or could happen.

I thought I'd dig this up so you can all have a look see how wrong you all were. Thought I'd look and see who was closest, but beyond Alfa fan actually guessing the second Seat guy correctly...and Draven guessing Turkey in a VXR car...cough, you're all terrible!

(My guess doesn't count).

P.S. Did anyone spot TTR Motorsport at the media day? Can't see any photo's of their car on the BTCCnet site
