I16 should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
The Ronk lads may have not gone to bed yet but the question must be asked how is the AASA Insurance travelling?
Story around Melbourne prior to Christmas was that old Bob and old Mick were not that happy with each other......... shame if it all fell over but these are the times.
The bikes have four meetings at Calder this year but no one knows if its on or off..

Nobody has bought Heathcote, I spoke to Russell Clarke on Friday and while the track is up for sale, nobody has come up with the money required to buy it. Russell is in no hurry to sell despite any health issues and the LS1 Nationals will at this stage run as planned.
He and Bob talk regularly but not about buying Heathcote, apparently they like to talk about their respective health issues, their shared hatred for ANDRA and just chew the fat.
For anybody who knows Bob you'd know he likes a chat.
As for Calder nobody is talking, I have left several messages for people to contact me but no calls are being returned.
The talk is safety issues and OH&S were at the root of the problem, and it was Bob who did all the firing.
If it is an insurance issue then what does that say about the AASA and events at Winton, Wakefield and QR?
Not to mention Targa Tasmania.

Why does everything come back to AASA insurance, there is nothing wrong with it! AASA is here to stay people get used to it. It is bigger than Calder or Winton for that matter. Bob and Mick are still good mates so please stop creating rumours!!

You cant believe everything you hear. As I said AASA is not going anywhere, and the motorsport community needs to get use to that idea.

I read this thread at 16:30 yesterday while sitting in Race Control at Winton and immediately rang Mick on the internal phone system and told him "someone has started a thread on 10/10ths claiming you've brought Heathcote" to which he said "No".

We both had a good laugh and I told him I'd not reply to the thread to see where it went and you can see the results.

So yes, I knew the answer, but decided to enjoy the thread instead

Doesn't sound like it. Just one factor taken out of it.

The questions persist........

Received the following email from Calder's marketing manager Dean Mansueto regarding Calder's future following tonight's show.

Truth is that there is a future for Drag Racing at Calder Park. Make no mistake!
We will very shortly be releasing a statement to the questions you have asked below.
So we wait and wonder.

Not really, it's in the middle of nowhere and not much passing traffic either

I notice the current "owner" was at Easternats yesterday with his jet van, maybe someone should've asked him if he's sold it and to whom.......
