Interestd to know what you folks think about Jaydub's success. Is it him or is it the 888 machine.

I thinks it's half and half. He's a good steerer yes but you have to look when he was with Holden. Garry Rodgers, Perkins (Sandown and Bathurst) and Tasman Motorsport, he showed a few flashes of promise. When he moved to Team Betta Electrical (888) the rest is history.

IMO 50/50 a team at the top of it's game needs a driver at the top of his game and visa versa. a great driver can drag an average car to a good resault here and there but to be doing it consistantly it needs to be 50/50 great.

Anybody who can make CLowndes look ordinary by comparison is worth their salt as a driver, IMO. And CLowndes isn't exactly ordinary as a driver.

1200Datto27 has a lot of promise if they can keep it on the circuit!
If it was 100% car, then Lowndes should be level pegging with Jamie, so I think that Jamie is bringing a bit extra to the game.

I think it's more like 10% luck. If Tander didn't have reliability issues at the start of the 2008 season, he would have won the championship.

Wouldn't 'reliability issues' be more related to poor preparation, rather than luck ???
