 Daimler Chrysler has released this artists representation of their 2001 LeMans LMP challenger. Chrysler Motorsport engineers and reknowned sportscar manufacturer Dallara are responsible for the design. Team ORECA will field the LMPs with John Caldwell responsible for the 6.0 liter V8 engines. The cars will carry sponsorship by Sony Playstation, Dassault Systemes, and Michelin. Four time LeMans winner Yannick Dalmas will captain the french team's effort. Team ORECA will be seeking to win its second overall win at the famed enduro after taking a win with the Mazda powered GTP in 1991. They have since won the GT class three straight years with their indomitable Vipers. |

If I were Dalmas, I'd make them let me drive the Viper and tell Wendlingerto drive that thing. It doesn't look any better than the one that didn't make a single lap in last year's race.
