MBM were not in the top ten!

One of Pyro's drivers failed to find the funding required and the car is for sale the other that tested with them is concentrating on his MSV F4 program this weekend, and has actually signed to run with JTR.

So is it Jess Hawkins who couldn't find the funding then? What happened to the #Racing for Heroes support?

Managed to get to see the race on Saturday at Brands. I am afraid to say it did nothing for me. Cars have too much grip to be entertaining and I doubt the drivers or more likely their dads learn much apart from how expensive motor racing is. Exactly the same problem that BRDC F4 has.

I also heard that up to 8 drivers do not have the funding to last the season.

Only good thing about it is that the Mygale car is a nice bit of kit.

Meanwhile, Lando Norris has provisionally lost his R3 win for overtaking under SC conditions. Carlin have appealed but as it stands, James Pull claimed the win and Dan Ticktum leads the standings.

Snuck out in Paddockscout a couple of days ago. Seems unfortunate for Lando.

It was Ollie Pidgley (red car) and the #RacingforHeroes MSA Formula cars for sale on race cars direct.

Hawkins has left #RacingforHeroes, and is being managed by Harrison Scotts VCM Motorsport management who financed the purchase of Falcons cars. Expecting to see her popup in the Falcon team in a couple of months.

Hearing the same rumours about drivers not having full season budgets aswell. Cost's are a lot higher then predicted.

Not surprised about Hawkins. The whole #RacingForHeroes project seemed very ambitious when it was launched, just had that 'too good to be true' feel to it...

Anyway, it looks like Pidgely has done a deal with Richardson for the 'whole season' (I'll believe it when I see it!).

Toby Sowery was out for Falcon on Thursday, not sure if he's racing though.

Lando appeal will be heard this weekend. Trevor Carlin not happy with the delay.

Myasava was a backmarker in USF2000 (best finish of 10th while his teammate had a win) yet he's qualified in the top 5 in both sessions...hmm. Ticktum looks like a genuine contender based on his one-lap pace.

You have to bear in mind his car experience vs the likes of Ticktum/Norris/Pull etc, so even if he wasn't spectacular in USF2000 he already has an advantage.

Likewise Sennan Fielding, who hasn't ever been anything special IMO, he has years of car experience behind him and isn't exactly challenging the top guys. Makes their performances even more impressive.

Re. Ticktum, I'd also say on his race pace and overtaking ability too, that was clearly shown at Brands. He's just won the first race at Donington, from pole, by 7s ahead of a battle between Pull, Myasava and Norris.

In defence of Fielding he's been at the sharp end of whatever he's raced, and he's at a team new to single seaters facing teams like Carlin, Fortec, Arden, etc.

But guys like Norris, Ticktum, Pull, etc, are very talented...

That's true, although Myasava hasn't raced in Europe before.

In other news Norris won the appeal and keeps his second win, while Marinescu said she was told by doctors to sit out this round. I didn't realise she was injured in the testing accident...

Marinescu got whiplash in the practice crash at BrandsHatch.

Can't argue with that, he's never been 'off the pace' as such, just never has shown that final 'something' you need IMO, compared to a Russell or what Ticktum is demonstrating this year.

Has there been any reaction from MSA Formula teams regarding BRDC F4's change of focus? Surely a relief of sorts...

Does anybody have any news on the spare MSA Formula cars? 10 are lying around somewhere and as far as I know neither Scorpio nor Pyro are entering...

Pyro had 3. One belonged to Ollie Pidgely, which he is now using at Richardson Racing.
One was sold to Fortec or Carlin to use as a spare/test car.
The third is still forsale at Pyro https://racecarsdirect.com/Advert/De...ygale-2015-car

Scorpio, I haven't a clue.

Falcon have their Third car available,
Fortec have their third car available,
Jamun/MBM I don't know, if they took delivery of the other 2 cars or not.
Richardson Racing have their second car available

Jack Butel said he purchased his own car last year, and was being run by SWB. He is now JHR and maybe using their car now.
