Give me a break!!!

First off let me say hello to all and hope everyone had a great, and safe, new year
Now to my Topic.
Today in AA, in regards to the Skaife/Ingall accident, and I quote
"The incident gave the general public a rare glimpse beneath Skaife's usual CALM and professional demeanour"
me thinks Foges has been overseas for to long

This would be the first time that I can honestly say I have seen Skaife blow his cool, I know we have seen him biting his tongue during interviews however he has always tried to be professional, a long season not going the way planned obviously had taken its toll, no excuse though but even as a Ford fan I think some tollerance should be shown.

I think you should attend some more races Gspot... I counted enough "freakout" moments to consider it to be the norm not the exception.

Just because a camera isnt around to record it, doesnt mean it didnt happen....

You can't be serious, Canberra and Winton in years go by spring to mind.

Lets not be too harsh, especially considering Mr Skaife just got himself engaged and all. Wizzby will be heartbroken... assuming she ever comes back here

Dont worry love, she will be in one of those jackets with really long arms that wrap around the back, and in a padded cell when she realises what she has done

Firstly, I love your signature...aint that one of the quotes of the century?

I think Foges was probably referring to Skaif'es demeanour INSIDE the car and, to be fair to the Nose, he is generally pretty unflappable behind the wheel.

However, outside the car (and the view of the cameras, mostly) the boy has been known to throw the odd hissy-fit when everything is not just perfect.

And with the ownership and now the board duties and Murf dethroning him adding a bit of pressure to the cooker, LONG MAY IT BE SO!!!!!

I personally think that Ingall will have about the most pressure on him next year.

He is in a Championship Winning team, and rates himslef as a genuine title contender, and will not want another year of having his arse handed to him by his team mate

Unflappable ?!?! Missed gear at Hidden Valley, wrong tyre selecion at EC1, outbraking himself in Baa baa land (admittedly on oil but Murph etc. saw the flags)..... the cracks are very evident and seem to be widening in the wake of EC2.

Yep, I think Murf's got his measure right now, along with Ambrose of course and I'm positive you can add Rusty as well this year. Hoping FPR finally give Lowndes a weapon (he's certainly due for one) and you can add him to the list too. Put another couple of Holdens (Bright, Richards) on his nail and life will get very tough indeed for the Horrible Red T*rds.
But *warning* the Nose has been written off before so I aint countin the chickens yet

I thought your last comment was very uncalled for.
Not many of you/us may like HRT or Skaife etc, but you gotta hand it to them, they are about the most professional and successful team around, and are comparable with Ferrari etc for their dominance over such a period of time.
And no, I am not a Skaife fan, but they have my respect.

TSR has a lot of promise if they can keep it on the circuit!
Is all this a case of the tall poppy sydrome or is the real MS coming out???????

I am a Ford man, but I have mentioned b4 that one Mark Skaife is the best that the other side of the fence has, but his does have a bit of a past with blowing up and what he did at EC was just wrong,
I am not backing Skaify as I have bagged him out plenty times b4 and I have not commented at all on the EC incendent, but is a case of all the ownership pressure erupting??

See my original post re: juggling all his responsibilities.
You'll not find me knocking Skaife's ability...you may not like him, but anyone who does'nt admit that he is one of the all-time greats of Australian motorsport has the Ford goggles on. As I said no counting chickens.
And a bit of value added entertainment to boot (EC)...

It would not be as much fun to dislike him if he wasn't as good as he is.... for example, I imagine that very few Holden fans dislike Speedy as he poses no threat to their "hero".....

Dislike is not the word, more like "amazement" at the attention he atracts.
