brightline should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
Anyone going to Vegas?

Hello all,

just wanted to see if anyone was going to the Las Vegas race at the end of September? It would be great to meet some of you all. I just booked the flight tonight and am going to get tickets probably tomorrow. Anyone have any info on the so called Earnhardt Terrace?

some tickets are $61.50 for section 111, some are $40.95 for 113-114. Anyone know the difference, sightlines, obstructed views? is the other section worth the $20? Also, I here the paddock is free with these tickets.

I'm excited as it will be my first big oval race, I've been to all kinds of road courses, but never the big oval, should be good stuff. Hope to get some replies.

I'll be there! My Dad and I are meeting other family there - our five tix have already been ordered, and the flights are booked. I'll be in Row 67 (section 111).

Your first oval race, brightline? You'll love it! Especially considering that the seats in the Earnhardt Terrace are so high. (The higher the better).

This will be my first race, of any kind, since Michigan in 2001.

I'll be there. I believe the paddock pass is 'free' only when you buy the $61.50 seats.

I will be in Vegas September 22-28 so I will definately be at the race. I do not remember where my seat is because my friend bought the tickets and I can't remember what section they are in. I would love to meet up with other forum members so if someone can designate a time and place I will definately be there!!! I am so looking forward to it!! I love Vegas!!!

I'll be there, covering the race by day and gambling when the truck racing is on. I've never been to Vegas and I'm looking forward to it!

This is absolutely killing me. The closest race to my home, many of you there who I would love to meet and I can't make it.

ok, I decided to be the lame fan and get the $40.95 tickets for race day simply because this has turned into a big family vacation and now can really only make it race night. soooo...our tickets are in section 113 row 77, hopefully the sight lines are good, and as strange as it may sound I'm curious to here the rumble of all those truck V8's for a couple laps until they pick up speed, then hear the whiz of the champ car cosworth turbos.

Also, if you want to play some easy going and loose blackjack, check out the Imperial Palace Celebrity Pit at night on the strip. Nothing like having Dolly Parton, Janet Jackson, and Liberace as your dealers. Really fun $5 blackjack.

I'll be there. Earnhart Terrace section 111. Row 79. I usually go to several races, but this year limiting it to the three Canadian and Las Vegas. Should be an interesting night race and (I hope) a lot warmer than Milwaukee last year.

The BYOB policy at LVMS is quite different than at MIS.
Their website lists the following items as "prohibited"...
- Coolers.
- Weapons.
- Illegal drugs.
There goes half the fun!

Looks like a great facility, though. Finding it tough to find very many pictures on the net, but here is a compilation of four pix culled from NASCAR's website.

Thanks for the pics, macdaddy! It looks like a great venue to watch a ChampCar race, although watching it at home on the telly won't be to shabby either.

LVMS is a very, very nice facility. The pictures are nice but they don't do it justice IMO. The only dowside at LVMS is when the sand blows and that is not really very often. Everyone is going to have a good seat and a great time.

My self and three friends will be there as well. Really looking forward to this since we cannot have Fontana. Too bad we can't have them both.

(With the obvious exception of Texas) has ChampCar ever raced on a 1.5-mile oval before? I can only recall 1's and 2's.
