Spare Cars
CAn anyone explain to me how many cars a typical CART team has
The reason I ask is just how many cars did, for example, Mo Nunn bring to Europe that they could even consider running another chassis at Rockingham after Zanardi's dreadful accident |

To my knowledge the team have at least one spare. For some of the smaller and less funded teams they may only have one spare bewteen the two drivers.
I would imagine that most of the teams use one spare for each driver for road and street courses because a crash usually does not destroy the car. Ovals are different of course with crashes usually damaging the tub as well as knocking off the suspension. |
