I'm looking forward to lydden, although its at the end of a busy month for us, Ipswich on Sat evening under the lights, Warneton the weekend after then Lydden the last weekend of june with a second visit to lydden 3 weeks later
not forgetting there are another two rounds at ipswich in aug and sept with the september one being back to back with Hednesford. And theres still the rounds at warneton if any one fancies a booze run with some racing. |

Nice little piece in Autosport this week.
There are also rumours that the "Melbourne Loop" bit of the Donington Grand Prix circuit might be being considered for some oval racing, how about ELMS? Ask them & get in on the ground floor of developing the track to meet ELMS requirements. |

Is there a time table for Lydden yet? Driving down from Wales wondering if Saturday or Sunday is best for a visit

Well - Sunday will only be the afternoon (noise restrictions prevent running on a Sunday morning). So if you're coming from Wales Saturday is probably your best bet.

Not much difference between the days really, depends on what grid sizes the other formulae not listed on rods site get, Saturday is 9am-6pm with a lunchbreak and 50min untimed session starting the day. Sunday 12:30-6pm non stop, with a parade before the start of the meeting. Late models were excellent last year, hope for more of the same! |

I should just like to thank Rod for the fantastic race meeting he put on for us at the weekend! We all had a fantastic time and what about that weather? Awesome!
Sorry many of us didn't make the prize giving, but we were spread a nasty rumour that we would have trouble getting boats back to the mainland, our worrys were unfounded though. Once again thanks to everyone at Lydden for making us welcome and we look forward to coming back in a few weeks! While I am here I should also like to point out that our next race is the biggest on the calander with two practice sessions Saturday, three heats and a 75 lap final. Both Roots V8 Racing and RCD-UK have cars available to rent for this meeting. |

There was somwething in Mortorsport News a week or so ago about the Melbourne Loop at Donington Park potentially being developed as an Oval for use by Brisca Stock CArs, could the ELMS run on a "Donington oval"?

I don't see why not. I know nothing about this plan, but if anyone has any details I shall be sure to pass them on.

You guys need to get the GM ZZ4 crate motor. Those things sound so wicked.

I see that the Official Receiver for the defunct "Speedcar" series are offering up the cars for sale - I know they weredeveloped as "road courserace cars" but could they be used in ELMS?

Be a bit pricey with metal bodies at around 100x the cost of fibreglass!

Surely after you wreck one body, you would replace it with a fibreglass/poly one.

Shame, guess that will mean no Sprint Cars or Mascar at Lydden either?
Thought I had seen a two day barc meeting listed for the last weekend in June, but that seems to have disappeared from the newly lauched Lydden wesite. So guess its a trip to Ipswich to see them this side of the channel. |

Is there a reason for no Lydden?

I didn't know there were Sprint Cars in the UK.
Do they race outside UK? Tarmac only or also racing at dirt ovals? |
