Please, please let the buyer be someone who will race it (properly) in the Group C/GTP series. A quick Sauber would really be a welcome addition.

Yes, that's the trouble with some of the more modern historic (almost a contradiction in terms!) racing cars. They are so sophisticated and with special software that it adds a whole new dimension to running them ex factory. Still, let's hope that where there's a will, there's a way!

I believe MB needed the car to be hooked up to the truck to start for the computor to do its work
I appreciate modern ecu`s can get around the problems of starting cars today over 16 years ago
BUT u still need the $$ to hire the right people to run the car properly and hope u dont shunt it to the detriment of the car
At least an old alloy tub or spaceframe car can be rebuilt economically
If you do not have the carbon moulds your stuffed

It'll probably end up in a class case somewhere, never to run again....

That auction has been ongoing since December. They keep hoping to attract more money. The current high bidder owns a pair of Porsche 962s and is a very active Historic Racer and if succesful intends on using the car

well that covers about 6 guys i know of then!!
if they where pros they would stick the car in AS mag with a asking price of £300k or in a true auction for all to see
fiddling around they way they are will just put real players off as they come see and pay
2 weeks later car is either fully stripped for rebuild or running around the track- no messin
