Grant Denyer in hospital?
Just a thing on Channel 7 news at 430.
Grant Denyer is in hospital with a fractured lower spinal whatsie after crashing a monster truck at Dapto Showgrounds. Question is - who will replace him at FRSR for Enduro's and GET WELL GRANT |

Given Bathurst is only a few weeks away, and reading how dangerous these things are supposed to be... wouldnt one postphone jumping cars until after Bathurst ????

The lead in the Mini series would also be at risk if Mr Denyer is unable to attend Bathurst.... |

My solution, as it wont be brad lowe, would be to combine both of Grants Bathurst V8 commitments. Mat White has already indicated he will drive 28 at the mountain, so put Patrizi in 29 for mountian miles, then put Mat White with his bathurst experience in 777 as co driver for Patrizi, both teams dilema is solved. ! Just an idea.
As for the mini drive- wiat and see |

Mr Wills could do a good job, as could Mr Rollinson, or perhaps Mr Assaillit is a chance or Mr Bowe who doesnt have a ride....
The list is endless.. and I presume Mr Morton's phone is now ringing off the hook, with drivers/managers/promoters/bag men looking to secure that seat for the lowest possible input...

Crushing vertebrae & then being able to jump in any race car that has minimal padding on the seats plus the lateral loads race cars produce - to be honest I'd be genuinely surprised if he did race again. Regardless of what you race & how competitive you are its always a crushing blow to not be able to do the thing you love most..
Get well soon Grant, I most sincerely hope you prove me wrong - & I'm sure at the very least you'll fight to to do so!! |
